Not the entire edition, of course.
No happy Hooligan, Barney Google, Abe Kabible.
Merely the part worth reading: E.K. Hornbeck's
Brilliant little symphony of words.

A sweet, sad song about the Hillsboro heretic,
B. Cates: boy-Socrates, latter-day Dreyfus,
Romeo with a biology book
.

- I think that this passage is explaining how E.K. Hornbeck is intelligent. They are saying how he is like a jack of all trades. He is like a classical Greek philosopher( socrates ) , A French artillary officer ( Dreyfus ), Romeo referring to the Romeo and Juliet story, saying he is good with ladies and the biology part was saying how he is knowledged in the biology field.
